Congratulations to Killarney Heights High School for placing 2nd in the North Shore Music Spectacular at Killara High School yesterday!

As the judges took to the stage shortly after 4:30pm, they mentioned how impressed they were with the standard of all of the schools involved:

*Chatswood High School
*Willoughby Girls High School
*Davdison High School
*Killara High School (1st Place)
*Turramurra High School
*Killarney Heights High School (2nd Place)

The judges, Lindsay Gilroy and Carmen Nieves used the HSC music marking criteria to provide feedback and marks for concert bands, choirs, soloists, chamber ensembles, orchestras and jazz bands over the 5-hour final. During their closing speech they mentioned there had only been 1 point between the top two schools, which is certainly something to be very proud of.

Congratulations to our Symphonic Winds, Matthew Di Ienno and the Big Band for their outstanding performances.

The Killarney Heights High School Band Program took home $1000.00 in prize money for our 2nd place award to put towards our program for 2022.
